We stayed up too late Saturday night and getting up first thing in the morning was tough for everyone. It took a while to get everyone up and ready to go, but we eventually made it out the door. Due to our late start we didn’t make it to the border till 11:30am. Getting through the border was no problem, they asked us where we were going and sent us quickly on our way. Since we all skipped breakfast we stopped in Shelby to fill up on American junk food that we can’t get in Canada. While crusing arounnd Shelby we found two things churches and crazy anti meth billboards, remember kids ”say no to drugs”.

When we arrived in Great Falls we had two things on our mind, food and skatepark. The local Hardee’s found us before we found the skatepark so we settled on food. All of us ordered monster sized sourdough burgers and enjoyed every minute of it. Somebody should really think about opening a Hardee’s/Carls Jr in Canada it’s nothing short of amazing.

After a quick bite we got directions from the locals and found the skatepark. This place was epic, I’m talking about the stuff dreams are made of. Giant bowl with pool coping, hips, little rails, ledges all over, and more. Not long after we arrived we met up with some Montana skaters; Cameron Talboot, Howie and Eli. Everyone killed the park it was amazing watching everyone tear apart the bowl. It didn’t take long for the park to kill me though, after one big slam I retired for the day and decided it was time to start shooting photos.

The heat started to wear on us and the group decided it was time to take it to the streets. Our first spot was kink rail at the University, not exactly the best photo spot but everyone had a good time. It didn’t take long before a few cars pulled up to politely ask us to leave. We didn’t get any hassle so we made our way downtown.

The next stop was a curved rail at the Great Falls courthouse. Chase and Cam stepped up to kill the spot while everyone else just relaxed and I snapped a few photos. It briefly started to sprinkle near the end of the session but mother nature held back and let us continue on with our day.

Afterwards we found a long handi rail that curved at the end. Everyone seemed a bit disinterested so we all went off exploring downtown. We found some thin sheets of plywood propped up against a brick wall that we wanted to use as a wallride. It didn’t work out and the boys almost ate it quite a few times before giving up. Right across the street from that we found a square rail that went along a wheelchair ramp. A piece of the railing was missing so Cam was able to charge from across the street up the ramp and on the rail to 540 off the end. After a few shots at a few different angles we called it a day and headed off to find some place for dinner.

We were going to hit the local “Taco Treat” but due to the fact that everyone in our crew was paying by debit we had to go somewhere else. We went up the street to find somewhere that would take debit and eventually settled on Subway . After sitting down and relaxing we came to the conclusion that we were all worn out and it was time to head out. We said farewell to our American friends after eating and made our way back north to Canada.
